MONTEVENETO, BASED IN SPAIN AND ITALY
Monteveneto was set up in Almadén (Spain) in the XIX century by Víctor and Eutimio Osorio. It was in this Spanish town, declared as Human Heritage by the UNESCO, where the Casa de Osorio was created; the company is now known as Monteveneto.
In 1895 Víctor Osorio opened up the saddlery workshop under his own name, specialising in top-quality leather products, horse-riding saddles, trunks and accessories for travelling by carriage.
The Brand, innovative and international in spirit, stood out at the time, becoming stronger over the decades. It can be seen in the clearly Italian influence of the company’s delicate designs, which combine beautifully with the Spanish creativity evident in the finishing touches.
The Brand’s Hispano-Italian influence can be perceived even in the company name, which was changed to Monteveneto. The name comes from Italy’s Veneto region, which has inspired some of the country’s greatest thinkers and philosophers and which has hosted a venerable leatherworking tradition over the last few generations.
In this beautiful part of Italy, the essential ingredients have come together for the creation of the most outstanding leather goods. This is the result, on one hand, of much effort, loving care and a profound knowledge of the raw materials and, on the other, of dedication and a passion for top-quality work. For this reason, Italy constitutes a reference of style; moreover, the country is a pioneer in treating fine leathers.
